Ice Storm dish?!

Question: So I'm locked in an ice storm, but with power while my friend has none. He's been surviving on poptarts, salami, and candle-toasted marshmallows for about three days now and I thought I would make something and bring over.

What's something I can take that will stay fairly hot (can't reheat) and will serve as kinda comfort food? I was thinking maybe baked mac and cheese, but am open to suggestions. What food would you want someone to show up with?

A nice hot chicken soup in the Crock Pot - It should stay warm for hours if the lid is kept on. And wrap it in a huge bath towel during transportation.

Chili!!! we have been locked in for 2 days now and yesterday we made a big pot of it and today we are makin home made pizzas!!

Mushroom risotto

********OLD FASHION GOULASH (nice warm dish)
1 lb. ground beef
1 can diced Rotel tomatoes with green chilies
1 can Ranch style beans
Elbow macaroni (pre cook according to package)
Brown ground beef; drain. Add all other ingredients. Simmer about 15 minutes. Top with grated Cheddar cheese. Its quick, easy and good.

Homemade potato soup, good hot or cold.

Chili would be first on my cold weather food list. But some other good choices are French Onion soup, Tomato Basil soup, or Seafood Gumbo. All of these will stay hot longer than solid foods.
