You can go out and buy a salad spinner but you can also, wash your lettuce, wrap it gently in a very clean terry cloth or cotton towel and put it in the refrigerator. The towel will absorb the water and your lettuce will be amazingly crunchy.

1st make sure after rinsing your veggies (such as lettuce) you drain the water from them. You may need to pat dry using a paper towel. This should rid any extra water and make your salads like the ones in restaurants.

Get yourself a salad spinner to spin out the excess water.

In the "old days" they used a new pillow case and twirled it over their heads. thank goodness for new inventions. lol

hope this helps. good luck.

You need to only remove the outer leaves of the lettuce if they are wilted and discolored. Often times you need not rinse the lettuce if it's Iceberg. If it's romaine, same thing peel away the bad leaves and rinse if necessary if you see dirt at the bottom of the leaves on the inside. Secondly, If you do wash all of your produce, there is a vegetable "spinner basket" that spins the water off through centrifugal force. You can also press dry on paper towels or a towel before using. For best results, keep cut salad cold until ready to serve with chilled plates. Good Luck
