Last year I did something with colored toothpicks. I glued different kinds of beads on the toothpick. I used beads that I could stick the toothpick through and glued at the top. It was simple and looked great. A different twist to serve cocktail sausages.

check ebay

I would try the Christmas Tree Shop.
www.christmastreeshops.com

do not know if they have it there but Crate and Barrel has a bunch of stuff like that.

They used to sell fancy cocktail sticks in paperchase

Sainsbury, Debenhams or a cookware shop should be able to help you on that one.

Didn't see them but you could always use Japanese Toothpicks to spear food. They only have the point at one end and they have groves around the other. They'd be unusual and dead cheap too..... I will look for a better choice and get back on....

there's already a YA question resolved the same.
They say "both pier 1 and world market have similar ones."

But I think they might be American but The Pier

have ones that are like olive picks rather than straight skewers

Is she black?
