Basic Molded Candy

Now you'll find out how easy and fun it is to use a candy mold. We're starting out with the most basic candies—one color, solid body. But basic doesn't mean boring. The details in each candy mold make these easy candies look terrific. So choose your favorite Wilton mold and some great Candy Melts?—it's time to start!

1. Melt. Choose one of these four melting methods.

2. Fill. Place melted candy in your mold using a spoon, Melting Bottle or disposable decorating bag. When mold is filled, lightly tap it several times on a counter to eliminate air bubbles in the candy.

3. Chill. Place the filled mold in the refrigerator or freezer until candy has set. When the underside of the candy mold appears to be frosted, you're ready to unmold the candy. If there are any dark areas on the underside of the mold, it means some of the coating is still soft. In this case, chill the mold for a few more minutes, until the entire mold has a frosted appearance.

4. Unmold. Turn over the mold about an inch above a flat surface covered with parchment or waxed paper. Gently flex or tap the mold and out come the candies!

Marzipan perhaps? good luck! =]

you can use those molds for wiltons colored candy chips they come in a variety of flavors and colors..chocolate peanut butter..vanilla..i make them with pretzels you can buy the molds for pretzel sticks and the candy is at the top ..i have them for all the holidays and i have yet to find someone who doesnt like them..walmart carries those kits and a few colors of the candy melts...michaels has a huge selection...you can put sucker sticks in them and make them into suckers..these are hard

****Depending on how deep your molds are you can make filled candy, melt chocolate chips in the microwave for 45 Sec Stir, then an additional 10 seconds and stir repeat and tell completely melted and smooth.
Pour a small amount in each mold cavity until it comes to the top then turn them over a large bowl or loaf pan to drain, it should give you a thin shell of chocolate, scrape off any that has ran onto the outside of the mold.
Then you can fill each of these cavities almost to the top but not quite with peanut butter, homemade Fudge, you can buy chocolate filling already made or add any cream filling you like. Let it set up a few minutes then fill the rest of the away with your melted chocolate, if you want them in different colors
Get the wiltons colored candy and melt them a few at a time and with a new small paintbrush and a toothpick fill in the little areas with the different colors, like the Red bow on the package.

You could always just add 1 tsp. of vegetable oil to 1 c. of chocolate chips melt them in microwave like before and Fill each of the candy mold cavity with the chocolate let cool completely this will be a softer chocolate.
