I just ordered my roast for christmas?!
Answers: I told him I'd pick it up on the 21st and I'm cooking it the 25th, is that too long to sit in the fidge? Should I call and change the pick-up date?
the earliest you should pick it up should be the 23rd... you want a fresh cut. Four days before will probably start to turn a brownish color...not good!! Call and change it!
If it's pork, that's too long but if it's beef you should be alright. Ask the butcher to be sure, he's your best source.
usually there is a sell by date. yes you should call & see if it will still be good by then & if you call today you should have plenty of time to change the pick up date if you need to change it.
I would call back. The whole idea of ordering it is so it will be fresh right?
