What can I put on the ham so it will be good?
A smoked ham is already cooked so it's just a matter of warming it up and flavouring it. I put ginger ale in the bottom of the roast pan. Make a paste of brown sugar and mustard. During the last half hour, score the ham, insert a clove into each "diamond" and spread the mustard mixture on top. Add pineapple rings secured with a toothpick with a cherry in the centre. It looks lovely and tastes great. No foil needed, just a low temperature. Allow about 15 min per pound.
cover it with foil and let it cook in the oven
Hmmmmm its a BIG HAM Right then put it in a BIG OVEN LOL
microwave
Large roasting pan and cover with foil. Make sure you have a few cops of water in the pan.
PUT ALUMINUM FOIL BROWN SUGAR IN COKE
Covered with foil. Put some pineapple rings on it with cherries in the center, sprinkle with brown sugar. Also for a nice touch you can score it with a sharp knife.
cook at 325 for about 45 mins per lb first make little cuts into the ham put onion slices and fresh garlic in the slits then pour pancake or maple syrup and soya sauce over it a 10 lb ham or larger should take a half hr per lb.
put it in a large pan pour honey over it not too much . cover with foil cook on 325 until inside of ham reaches 160d.
Baked Ham with Honey Glaze.
Whole or half ham, ready to eat
1/8 c. prepared mustard
3 tbsp. honey
Whole cloves
3/4 c. brown sugar
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place 1 tablespoon flour in turkey size (19" x 23 1/2") oven bag for whole ham or in large size (14"x20") oven bag for half ham. Place bag in 12"x8" baking dish. Insert ham in bag, fat side up. Close bat with twist tie. Pierce bag 6 to 8 times on top. Bake 12 minutes per pound. Remove from oven 30 minutes before it is baked. Carefully slit bag down center and to sides to expose ham. Remove skin, if any, and score fat, diamond shaped, 1/4" deep. Brush entire top of ham with mustard. Insert clove in each diamond. Cover generously with brown sugar. Drizzle with honey. Return to moderate oven, 375 degrees, for final half hour.
Get a can of sliced pineapple.
With some of the juice, make a thick paste with brown sugar.
First, remove most or all the skin. Take a knife and "score " diagonally across the bottom, in both directions. It should look like diamond shapes.
Then spread the brown sugar paste, fairly thick, over the entire ham.
Take whole cloves and place one at each intersection of the "diamond scores".
With toothpicks, attach the pinapple slices on the ham.
Bake.
