not really but make sure there is someone else in the room to assist you in getting out of your chair

i don't know about fattening, but wow that sounds good, you are making my mouth water. you got any left ?

Sauerkraut is cabbage. I don't think it is to fattening. Pork, on the other hand, is.

No, and cabbage is great for you. Although it's been boiled so it's lost some nutritional value, as well as the high sodium content as mentioned above. The pork roast sounds good...yum.

Everything has calories in it but homemade saurkraut & pork doesn't have too many. You do have to be careful of how much you eat at one time though. Too much of anything isn't good for you, besides you need to be very carefull of all that salt. It is not good for you. Oh my gosh, I wish I was at your table right now. I'd fix me a real good serving of it.

They are advertising pork as the "other white meat" nowadays. So I guess it is nearly comparable to chicken, although I find that hard to swallow (excuse the pun). I'd love your recipe for the sauerkraut. As that is mostly cabbage, the calories are quite low...however sodium may be high. High sodium means water retention which will show on the scale. Naturally, this will pass in a day or two. Just drink extra water to flush your system out.
