How long does uncooked tilapia (fish) keep in the fridge?!
Answers: It's wrapped in paper from the seafood department of the grocery store.
Not long. once it thaws you need to cook it. If its been over 2 days *and I'm being really liberal here* you need to pitch it. If you smell it, its done. simple as that
I wouldn't keep thawed fish longer than 2 or 3 days in the fridge. Otherwise you can freeze it for several months with no noticeable difference when you cook it.
Depending on temperature in fridge, 2-3 days. Fish should be eaten the day it is thawed.
I'm not exactly sure. If it smells "fishy" now then I'd toss it. If it doesn't stink and you aren't going to eat it soon, I'd freeze it. It freezes well in an air-tight container.
48 hours
on ice: another 48 hours
no pun intended
To start with, it depends how long the store had it and if it was fresh or frozen. Thawed fish should be used the same day or next. Usually fresh fish is best used within 1-4 days. The best thing to do is keep it in the bottom fridge drawer on a bag of ice. If it is to be prepared in longer than 4 days then wrap it well and freeze it. But if it was already frozen then it needs to be used because a second freezing will burn the fish.
PS - Don't listen to the idiot that says you can eat anything if you cook it long enough. That will get you killed. Most bacteria will die at 165 F. But the toxins they excrete in their waste do not deteriorate by cooking. ie: botulism
If it smells fishy or like ammonia then its trash
