Cookie recipe with sunflower nuts?!

INGREDIENTS

* 1 cup white sugar
* 1 cup packed brown sugar
* 1 cup butter, softened
* 2 eggs
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 2 cups rolled oats
* 1 cup roasted and salted sunflower seeds
* 1 cup flaked coconut (optional)



DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. In a large bowl, cream together the white sugar, brown sugar, and butter until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, and baking soda; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Mix in the rolled oats and sunflower seeds. Stir in coconut if desired. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Leave room for spreading.
3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the cookies begin to brown around the edge. Allow cookies to set for a few minutes on the sheet before removing to wire racks to cool completely.

1 teaspoon baking soda
2 very ripe medium bananas, peeled and mashed
1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds
1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips PREPARATION:
Whisk together flour and baking soda in a small bowl. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat bananas, oil, and sugar on medium speed until thoroughly combined.

MAMA DOC'S SUNFLOWER SEED COOKIES

1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
1 c. crushed corn flakes
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sunflower seeds

Cream together sugar, brown sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl mix remaining ingredients. Mix together and drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
