What is a good recipe for a taco salad (the cold one with beef in it)?!

TACO SALAD
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. Southwest seasoning mix OR taco seasoning mix
1 head iceberg lettuce
1 tomato
2 cups shredded Monterey jack cheese
1 can light red kidney beans
1 cup chopped red onion
3 cups of crushed tortilla chips
DRESSING
1 bottle thousand island salad dressing
1 cup salsa
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. Southwest seasoning mix OR taco seasoning mix
(Combine all four ingredients in Small Bowl)
Brown ground beef and add seasoning mix. Chop lettuce, tomato and onion and place in large bowl. Drain and rinse kidney beans and add to bowl. Grate cheese and add. Add crushed chips and dressing right before serving. Enjoy!
Answers: This is the best Taco Salad I have ever had. I got it from a friend who says it's a family recipe... whenever I make it for a party EVERYONE wants the recipe. Definitely try it. It's simple to make and delicious.....

for a good taco salad i go to nearest brothel...its the best
when i make taco salad, i cook the beef on the stove in a pan than i add the beef to letuce fritos and i top it with catalina salad dressing.
Layed bottom to top:
fully cooked ground beef seasoned with taco sauce
a mixture of cream cheese and sour cream...mix till thick
Diced tomatoes and red onions
Diced red and green peppers
Sliced black and green olives
Shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese
Put in fridge for a couple of hours...serve with nacho chips

Lettuce, cooked (browned) ground beef, doritos (crumble with hands), shreaded cheese, and Catilina dressing.
Tomatoes are optional.
Mix all together when you are ready to serve. De-Lish!
