Nice looking, but easy hard candy recipe ideas anyone?!

Question: My girlfriend and I are putting together several holiday treat filled baskets for Christmas gifts. So far we are making the following:Cranberry Almond Biscotti, Chocolate-covered Oreo cookie "suckers" and creamy Lemon bars.

We would really like to make the baskets with a variety of contrasting flavors and textures.

Can anyone suggest anything else...ESPECIALLY a good and simple hard candy recipe. Good ideas for how to "dress up" classic(cookie sheet style) hard candies would also be of great help.
