Can you dye unshelled eggs?!


Question: I want to make deviled eggs for christmas but i was think of dying the egg its self not the shells. I have mcCormik dyes is that ok to use on them?

It should be safe as long as those colorings are intended for food.

Now whether or not your guests are going to want to eat green eggs is another story. Maybe if you include some ham? (obscure Dr Seuss reference)

Yes, I assume you mean the whites, but the eggs will just not look right. You might try it though...they will dye. Maybe red, but they will probably turn out more pink.
