Can you put tortillas (soft shell taco) in the freezer?!
Answers: I think I bought too many tortillas for a potluck tonight. I then realized that I could use them for New Year's Eve to make some food. However, the tortillas are supposed to expire on 12-20 and 12-29. Can I put any leftovers (sealed in a bag) in the freezer and thaw them out in time for New Year's Eve? Will they still taste good?
Please keep in mind that the expiration date on store bought foods is the last day the grocer is allowed to sell the food. The food does not automatically spoil on that date. Most foods are perfectly fine for several weeks after the expiration date.
I keep my torillas in a zip loc bag, in the fridge to inhibit mold growth. They keep for months that way.
If you do freeze bread products, try to use them within a month to keep the freezer burn at bay.
Cheers!

Yes, layer them with some waxed paper and place in a freezer bag and try to expel as much air as you can out of them. They'll still taste ok since it's only a couple weeks.
Yes you can freeze them as long as they were frozen before the expiration date :)
Yes, you can. However make sure that put wax paper in between them otherwise when they thaw they will stick together.
