Making a recipe book.. like a williams-sonoma one... but not $120.00 ....?!
Answers: I'm obsessed with the, you know, obsessivness of cooking. i want to make a pretty recipe book that i can keep for the rest of my life and pass on to my kids. i saw one in williams and sonoma that was soo perfect but i'd rather not spend the $120.00, seeing how im not even sure if i'd use it. but i want to be able to write in it, but in print outs, and clippings... i have a ac moore near by.... please help!
I would use a 3-ringed binder that has a cover that allows you to slip a cover page or sheet of paper into and sheet protectors to put your recipes in - this not only protects them but allows you to better organize your recipes. Print them out on lined paper from your PC or if they are clippings, paste them to plain or lined paper - this lets you write notes that are legible and easy to read. Use subject dividers to separate into categories and use scrapbooking supplies to fancy it up and make it more personal..
Wow, your motivation is to be envied....Good luck!
Hello,
Like you, I also love to keep recipes..I found that keeping your recipes, clippings, even cut outs of cetain packages keep well in a photo album..well actually what you want to look for is a scrap book album that has big clear pages with inserts in them so that you can stick your recipes on them and slide them back into the clear sleeve.
If the book does not come with paper in it, you can always add your own, however it might not be easy to find a piece of paper that will fit exactly in the page.
Go to any discount store and look around in the photo album section..im sure you will find somthing that you can store your recipes in..
Have fun!
