Good Christmas Breakfast?!

Question: My family is coming over for Christmas morning. We're going to have a breakfast casserole. What else could I have that I don't have to cook? I'm not cooking on Christmas morning while the kids are opening presents.
Any ideas?

Get a couple of packs of Pillsbury- type refridgerated sweet rolls to throw in the oven when the casserole is almost done-cinnamon,orange. Have a big bowl filled with fruit for people to eat-apples, pears, bananas, grapes-makes a great centerpiece too.

I'm sure this sounds silly, but we used to ALWAYS have CinnaBons on Christmas Morning. They require minimal preparation and you can always get more of their cream cheese icing to jazz them up. They're tasty and super simple!

Cereal

just some cut up fruit, bagels and creamed cheese.

Fruit, store bought muffins.

champagne & strawberries

Don't do a big breakfast if you are going to have a big dinner. Stick to less sugary items because the kids are hyped enough (that includes kids from 1-99). A casserole sounds great with juice and milk and coffee! If dinner is going to be late in the day, have a relish tray with fruits and veggies with some dip if you like for the in between.

just do the casserole and fruit. You can cut up oranges, grapefruit, and pineapple. At the last minute add bananas and apples. I have a breakfast casserole that you have to make the day before and then you just bake it. That won't take any time on Christmas morning

We use to have a Christmas breakfast with my family.

We usually did like a pot luck thing. Everyone brought something different.

Try breakfast sauage links wrapped in a cresant. Those usually go fast.

Ummm...mini muffins, breakfast tacos...bean and chesse, potateo and egg.

a fruit bowl and let them help themselves

Banana nut bread. Bake it the night before. Or muffins.

Sounds boring. My family is coming to my house on Christmas morning and here is the menu: Scrambled Eggs, country ham, center cut bacon & sausage, pan fried potatoes, butter milk buscuits with saw mill & red eyed gravey & cheese grits. Coffee, milk and juice to drink along with memossas for the adults. The kids will wait until breakfast is eaten and cleared before opening wrapped gifts.

This is a family tradition for over 100 years and I received the honor of host when my grandmother could no longer handle it.

bacon, egg and cheese quiche

Why not make a fresh fruit salad to go with the casserole? There is no cooking, just cut and mix!!

I do the casserole as well, I make it the night before and just put it in the oven the next morning. I always have fruit and I pick up an assorted tray of pastries.

Make it a Real English breakfast (like i do sometimes)

Get some Beef Livers to fry with small red onions, Scrambled eggs and mushrooms, Baked Beans, Toast, Fried chopped tomatoes, bacon, High quality cured danish butter, Cocoa, fruit tea, orange or pineapple juice, peach & pineapple chunks porridge, corn flakes or custard to begin with.
Tiramisù icecream cake and coffee..

Cant understand why most people are suggesting only vegetables, sweet things and fruits calling that breakfast...
