What is your family's traditional Christmas meal?!

Question: My mother's family always has tamales, empanadas (a stuffed pastry-my favorite filling is pumpkin), and bu?uelos (cinnamon-sugar crisps).

We always combine these with the traditional American dishes, but I enjoy having the Mexican food that my grandmother always loved making.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

My mom cooks a honey marinated ham, scallop potatoes, Cranberry berry sauce, and fluffy whole-wheat rolls. That is our Christmas Eve dinner! :) Yummy!

We mix it up every year for christmas. Thanksgiving is very traditional but christmas is a mixed bag. this year we're doing a salt crusted prime rib, twice baked sweet potatoes, a fresh citrus salad, veggie tray, roasted rosemary baby carrots with an apricot glaze, and I am making some homeade cloverleaf rolls and fresh herb butter.

Dessert is always the tradition with us no matter what we have for dinner we have Red Velvet Cake, christmas cookies and pepper mint stick ice cream for dessert.

we always have something italian, like lasagna, stuffed shells, manicotti, etc.

filet mignon, lobster, caviar, foie gras, kristall or dom perignon champagne, bananas foster for dessert, after meal cognac and cuban cigars to smoke!

Turkey with mashed potatoes, dressing and gravy. Carrot and turnip mashed with brown sugar. Broccoli salad. Apple pie w/ice cream. Irish coffee.

Christmas Eve we eat homemade Raviolis. Christmas day we have a traditional ham dinner, ham, yams, scalloped potatoes, green beans, rolls, butter and apple pie or maybe a trifle.

Our family always has Raviolis and crab for Christmas. We have salads and bread and veggies with it too. Christmas Eve my nana always cooks ham and mashed potatoes and all that, but I love our Ravioli and Crab Christmas. Its the best.

Roast Turkey, parsnips and potatoes.
Boiled broad beans and Brussel sprouts.

We have turkey, ham, yams. collard greens, stuffing, black eyed peas, various cakes, and sweet potato pies. Afterwards we have a turn getting our stomachs pumped or our hearts defibrilated. I was about 9 when I found out Santa doesn't yell CLEAR! We're losing him!

On Christmas Eve, we usually have a lamb curry for the evening meal....I am not sure whether we will be doing that again this year. The main meal on Christmas Day does vary a little.....it has often been goose or turkey, though. This year, we are having a turkey....with stuffing and vegetables....and maybe a plum pudding to follow!

SPROUTS.....yummy, lol.
This is a very traditional meal on Christmas, If you haven't eaten it then you miss a lot.
