Where can I buy a waffle iron in australia?!
I'm not sure how to go about doing that as I have no idea what stores they have over there! I would love to be able to just pay for it online and have it shipped straight to him. Any ideas??
Answers: I am in the United States but I would like to buy my friend in Australia a waffle iron. (he's never gotten to try them.)

We do eat waffles in Australia, but more for dessert and not in the same quantities.
You can buy electric, teflon coated waffle makers in large department stores. Google David Jones Australia and you should get a few links. They sell online and deliver around Australia. Our waffle irons are 240 volt and have an Aussie plug.

well, im guessing if hes never had waffles that it must not be a very popular thing in australia, so possibly you could send him one by international mail...
hmm .. not a very popular thing over here .. I did however work for a specialised food importer in Melbourne and they did at one stage stock the old cast iron waffle irons .. The companys name is the essential ingredient .. they have stores in sydney as well .. look them up online .. give them a call .. u will find that sometimes you will deal with a staff member that will not know so make sure you do ask them to check
