What is a simple seafood pasta recipe that i can make a surprise dinner with?!
Answers: How around shrimp alfredo? There are some pretty good alfredo sauces already made in a jar. It's not as good as homemade, but it is quick and tasty. When I'm in a pinch, I toss it with pasta and precooked frozen shrimp (thawed first). Served with garlic toast and a green salad or vegetable, it's a great fast easy meal.
Buy a bag of Bertolli with shrimp in it. It's super easy--they'll never know.

I just made linguine and clam sauce the other night. It doesn't take that long to make. You can usually find a recipe right on the back of the linguine package.
In large sauce pan, saute 5 oz of mushrooms per guest. Add 1 tsp. of cayane pepper per 4 servings. Add enough Half and Half for sauce and cook on high heat until reduced. / Boil 6 cups water and add Vermicelli for number of guests. When tender in 6 - 8 min. dump water. Add extra virgin olive oil and stir in an Italian seasoning. / Pan cook sea food in butter and lemon. / Put down a bed of pasta. Put seafood on top and accent with sauce.
Cook Angel Hair pasta or Spaghetti, or Fettucini...in a separate pan fry in a bit of oil 1lb shrimp, seasoned with garlic powder, lemon pepper and salt, dredged in flour, egg, then flour again, and egg again, and one last time in flour...cook until golden brown...remove and drain on paper towel. Wipe pan clean with paper towel... In same pan add a little oil, a can of crushed tomatoes, 2 tblsp parsley, 1 small diced onion, 2 cloves diced garlic, and salt/ pepper. Saute until onions are clear. Add pasta to sauce and combine. Serve with shrimp on top...garnish with shaved Parmesan...yum.
Linguine with Shrimp Scampi is one of my favorite dishes - it goes together quickly and the results are out of this world!
Olive or Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon kosher salt plus 1 1/2 teaspoons
3/4 pound linguine
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 1/2 tablespoons good olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic (4 cloves)
1 pound large shrimp (about 16 shrimp), peeled and deveined
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
1/2 lemon, zest grated
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (2 lemons)
1/4 lemon, thinly sliced in half-rounds
1/8 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
Drizzle some oil in a large pot of boiling salted water, add 1 tablespoon of salt and the linguine, and cook for 7 to 10 minutes, or according to the directions on the package.
Meanwhile, in another large (12-inch), heavy-bottomed pan, melt the butter and olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the garlic. Saute for 1 minute. Be careful, the garlic burns easily! Add the shrimp, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, and the pepper and saute until the shrimp have just turned pink, about 5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from the heat, add the parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon slices, and red pepper flakes. Toss to combine.
When the pasta is done, drain the cooked linguine and then put it back in the pot. Immediately add the shrimp and sauce, toss well, and serve.
