Answers: want to make like... 36 cookies... what do i need to do? (beginner cooker....) 0o0 thank you! merry Christmas! ?
This is an awesome recipe but it makes about 80 more or less:
Easy Sugar Cookies
1 Cup Butter or Oleo
1 Cup Oil
2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
5 Cups Flour
2 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1/2 tsp Salt
Cream butter and oil in a bowl, add eggs and vanilla and beat. Mix the dry ingredients and add to the oil and eggs. Chill dough in refrigerator until firm, roll into walnut size balls, put 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet, flatten some with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. (Keep dough cold when not working with it) Bake at 350 degrees for 10-11 minutes. They are usually done when some of them loose their puffiness and drop. Don't over bake, they will be slight tan on the bottom. Cool on a rack or paper towel
If I see one more request for sugar cookie recipes i'll scream! There's been about 5,000 this last few weeks. Why not use one of those? And why do you eat cookies on Christmas? We have special food that we don't have on a regular basis.

*****Sugar Cookies
3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon milk
Powdered sugar, for rolling out dough
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Place butter and sugar in large bowl of electric stand mixer and beat until light in color. Add egg and milk and beat to combine. Put mixer on low speed, gradually add flour, and beat until mixture pulls away from the side of the bowl. Divide the dough in half, wrap in waxed paper, and refrigerate for 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Sprinkle surface where you will roll out dough with powdered sugar. Remove 1 wrapped pack of dough from refrigerator at a time, sprinkle rolling pin with powdered sugar, and roll out dough to 1/4-inch thick. Move the dough around and check underneath frequently to make sure it is not sticking. If dough has warmed during rolling, place cold cookie sheet on top for 10 minutes to chill. Cut into desired shape, place at least 1-inch apart on greased baking sheet, parchment, or silicone baking mat, and bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are just beginning to turn brown around the edges, rotating cookie sheet halfway through baking time. Let sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes after removal from oven and then move to complete cooling on wire rack. Serve as is or ice as desired. Store in airtight container for up to 1 week.
I have a good and easy recipe -- I get so many compliments when I use it. the dough is a little hard to use for cookie go to www.kraftfoods.com and search for: 4-in-1 cookie dough.

Chill, roll, cut, bake at 325, 6-8- min.
Here is the recipe that my boys and I make every year. It's easy. Plus I've included all the little tips that you need to be sure they turn out right. These are kind of like the sugar cookies at Wal-Mart. Big and soft. Easy to frost. Frosting recipe is included plus how to sugar the cookies too.
Buy the Betty Crocker or Pillsbury mix at the grocery store. It's easy and very good.
