Is my Chinese food safe to eat...Ive just had food poisoning..Don't want it again!!!!?!

Question: I bought some chinese food (Chicken chow mein, and curry sauce..seperate) on sunday evening..its now wednesday, so thats 3 days later.
I didnt eat it all and put it in my fridge to re-heat in the microwave the next day..However, I ended up staying over at my moms house and im back home tonight..

My question is, can I still reheat it in the microwave and eat it..
The chicken was very well cooked.. I know 3 days is pushing it, and I definately wouldnt leave it any longer..

If its not mouldy..should I eat it? :P

For me, and maybe it's just because I'm a post-college guy, chinese food and pizza, for that matter, lasts for about 1 week if kept in the refrigerator. I usually eat it cold (mmmm) but it is perfectly fine heated up again, just make sure to nuke it until it's really hot!!

Heat it to 200 on meat thermometer! that should kill any nasty bacteria that may be forming. But because you had it in the fridge it will be good for longer. It would even be safe to eat on Friday as long as you heat it properly!

After that is when it is iffy to eat!

I can't tell you whether you *should* eat it, but I know I would. If you got it in the refrigerator right away, it should be fine.

and enjoy it!

you'll be fine as long as it was kept refrigerated.

Any food re heated should by most health standards be used no later than three days. So your probably safe. I recommend adding a little water to whatever you reheat in a microwave.
Bottom line is if you check your food and it dose not seem right to you PB and J will always fill you up.

Heat to 160, that is the standard temp. for all restaurants for cooking and reheating.
