What can i bake with these ingredients?!

Question: i'm in the mood to bake something yummy and so it has to be something like brownies/fudge/cake/cookies, etc.

i have no eggs and i don't want to go to the store...lol. that would mean doing too much just for eggs :-)

here are the ingredients i DO have:

tons of flour
tons of sugar
lots of shortening
good amount of coco
lots of salt
baking powder (a little over 1 cup)
baking soda
unlimited amount of water
tons of milk
lots of vanilla

i've tried looking for software i could download from the internet (i have found it before)_that you could type in the ingredients you have and it would tell you what you could make with it, but i can't find it anywhere.

thanks for the ideas!

the best sounding recipe will get best answer!

Call the Guinness Book of World Records and tell them you want to make a eggless chocolate cake. Seriously. You have Tons of ingredients just get some shovels and some rubber gloves, a giant 100 gallon barrel to mix the ingredients and a Giant pan. The pan you will want to place propane gas torches under to bake the cake. SO GOOD LUCK!

Eggless cake. Go to www.eggless.com.

I have been a baker for a long time, and I can not think of a single recipe that you can bake with out eggs. Do you have any corn syrup? You could make some candy if you had that.

google some of the ingredients and see what kinda hit you get....

p.s. add recipe at the end.

I'll bet you have a jar of mayonnaise in the fridge ... and you can use that as both 'eggs' and 'shortening' and make a really tasty 'chocolate cake' for dessert tonight. Take any good recipe that you know you have the ingredients for and 'substitute' the approximate amount of mayonnaise for the volume of the eggs + the volume of the oil or shortening. Bake as usual ...

i'm not really sure what you can make without eggs but try www.cooks.com they have tons of recipes with thousands of variations to them, so if you want to make one thing you can find the recipe that fits with the ingredients you have
hope that helps

1-1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup cold water (or ice coffee)
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp vinegar

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Use a small brownie-size pan (no greasing required). Mix all the dry ingredients right in pan. Mix all the wet ingredients in separate bowl except the vinegar (important!). Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until all dry ingredients are mixed. Add the vinegar quickly and stir in — immediately put the pan in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 min. Cool thoroughly.

I remembered making a chocolate pudding cake as a kid. See the link below. This is a gooey brownie like cake that bakes its own chocolate sauce. Yummy warm served in a bowl with a little milk added. (Or top with whipped cream).

INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
14 ounce milk
1 cup orange juice
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup melted butter

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda into a large bowl. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, orange juice, vanilla and melted butter. Mix well and pour into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

As you say you could make fudge or candy, but eggs are very important when making cakes and cookies and muffins etc.
If you have cornstarch, cooked rice, sugar, vanilla, milk and cinnamon , and maybe raisins, you could make a rice pudding. yummy
