Is the white almond bark the same as white chocolate?!
ADDITIONAL
Please do not listen to the morons who think they know what they are talking about. White chocolate contains COCOA BUTTER, almond bark does not
From Wikipedia
Almond Bark (also known as vanilla flavored candy coating) is an artificial chocolate made with vegetable fats instead of cocoa butter and with coloring and flavors added. It can be found in 1.5 pound packages, in blocks, or in round discs where candy supplies are sold
and white chocolate
White chocolate is a confection of sugar, cocoa butter, and milk solids. Unlike chocolate, white chocolate contains neither chocolate liquor nor cocoa solids. The low melting point of cocoa butter allows white chocolate and chocolate to remain solid at room temperature, yet melt easily in the mouth. As such, white chocolate has a texture similar to that of milk chocolate.
Answers: It can serve the same purpose (as to dipping/covering) but there is NO (white) chocolate in it. I mix mine with white chocolate chips. The white chocolate chips add that extra layer of flavor and the bark gives me a nice, not too thin, not too thick, coating on things such as pretzels and peanuts.

yes
They are exactly the same thing. There is technically no such thing as "white" chocolate because chocolate is made from cacao and it would be brown. We just call it that because it seems similar to chocolate. So, yes, almond bark is the same because NEITHER contain chocolate.
No. It's a hard coating for candies or baked goodies. I have used it on cookies. There is also strawberry, chocolate, and butterscotch almond bark.
