Need a good side? Please help?!
Anything else I can do for a side to the pot pie?
(my mom, step dad and brother are comming over for our traditonal Christmas Eve together. My husband will be there too, so it's 5 of us all together.)
Answers: On Christmas Eve I am making a Chicken Pot Pie with a salad to begin with. I was thinking of also serving biscuits, but not sure if that's good because of the pie crust.

nice warm bread or rolls. I might do a waldorf salad as a side...apples/pears/raisins/celery/walnu... with just a really light mayo... or maybe some warm, homemade applesauce in little side dishes...or maybe some baked apples...
How about a fruit salad? It is fresh and sweet and chilled while the pie is warm and comforting.
the biscuits would be good even with the crust on the pot pie!! add some fresh fruit salad with sweetened yogurt dressing!!
I think the biscuits would be a bit much...but this would go great!!!!
GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE
30 ounces green beans, canned, drained*
10 3/4 ounces Cream of Mushroom Soup
3/4 cup milk
2 3/4 ounces French-fried onions
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Combine green beans, soup, milk, pepper and 1/2 of the onions; gently stir together to mix well. Spread mixture in a 1 1/2 to 2 quart ovenproof casserole dish.
Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes. Top with remaining onions. Bake 5 minutes more.
Note: *May substitute 18 ounces frozen cut green beans, thawed and drained.
Stuffed mushrooms, perhaps.
Leave the biscuits, and how about mashed potatoes?
