What National brand soup or soupmix that is Very Like "Mom's Homemade Chicken Soup" that I can pickup tonite after work and prepare quickly?
Krogers and Tom Thumb are the only groceries close by.

Answers: I can not get home early tonight and my hubby is sick with a deep cold. I'd run home and fix a chicken soup combo, but it would disturb hubby (and it takes a lot out of him to answer the door since he's in a wheelchair). He's in the bed trying to get some good sleep; all last night he tossed & turned and I got no sleep myself...

My Mom always swore by Mrs. Grass' Noodle Soup. It comes dry in a blue box with a "flavor nugget" that dissolves in the water and thin noodles.
Add fresh chopped parsley, bits of chicken, shredded carrot, garlic.
Make your husband eat foods with garlic and onions (natural antibodies) and if you can get it, fresh ALFALFA sprouts (on a salad if he doesn't want them all alone).
Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup with saltines and peanut butter. Big glass of cold milk. Works every time.
it only takes 20 minutes to make chicken soup which is the best for any illness
Muir Glen organic soups.
Pacific organic makes great broths
These are tasty and not too salty.
I think Campbells stinks like rotting chickens! Ugh!
Does either of the grocery stores have roasted chicken that is hot and in their roaster? If so, add some of the chicken from one of these to Campbell′s chicken noodle soup, and throw in some bones too-I guess the good part that helps colds is in the bone marrow. Just make sure your sweet husband knows there are bones in the soup so he doesn′t accidentally swallow one.
I hope he feels better. I have a cold too and made some homemade chicken noodles this past weekend when my husband had a cold-it seems to help.
Try Campbell Select Chicken And Pasta with Roasted Garlic, or Chicken Tortilla Soup. Pick up a fresh lemon too-and just before serving, sqeeze 1/2 into the soup- the extra vitamin C really helps!
Hope he feels better!
I know when I was little mom would make chicken noodle soup
Now that I'm older will still try the chicken noodle soup, except not cam bells, will get it from a local Chinese restaurant
And drink lots of orange juice, and had a doctor tell me once when I pick up over the counter vitamin C to get the ones made with rose petals they have the highest concentration of vitamin C.
