What are the black specks you sometimes find in all purpose flour?!

Keep flour tightly wrapped or in a plastic container.

Yes, it's probably bugs.

Alternately, if you're buying organic or specialty flour, it could be tiny bits of stone from a grinding stone. Not too good for the dental work.

I must disagree with most here..
I say it is bug POO
but agree keep your flour ( everything ) in plastic air tight containers
Bug eggs and dead bodies as well as poo can give you the runs BAD. they may not necessarily hurt you but allergies can put you down for days..
