Provalone (pro-vuh-LONE) cheese is a mild-tasting white cheese which is somewhat salty (but not terribly). It's often used in sandwiches and in or on baked Italian foods. It's soft enough to slice without crumbling.

A substitute might be a mild white cheddar or american cheese.

Provolone is a smoky white cheese..Its used in a lot of Pizzeria instead of mozzarella..If you can't find it use the mozzarella.

Provolone cheese is a brown/yellowish round cheese kind of like Brie cheese and i think it has a smoky flavor to it.That is usually kept in a flat carton and layered with paper and there are multiple pieces if you have Parmesan cheese or mozzarella i guess you could use those i'm not so sure about Manila though.

That would be provolone cheese. I assume you could get it at the grocery store. Thats where I got mine.

uh...cheese....LOL!! It's great on sandwiches =)

I love provolone!!!! You can get it at Wal*Mart. It's white and round, in the cheese aisle.
