What is the best way to add Shrimp to this pasta recipe?!

Question: I want to make this dish but add shrimp to it. I have frozen raw shrimp. Do I cook the shrimp first before adding it in or mix it in raw before baking the pasta?

Penne with Five Cheeses

salt
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup crushed tomatoes w/o seasonings
1 bag (2 C.) Kraft Italian Cheese blend
6 fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 pound penne pasta
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter

Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.

Bring 5 quarts of salted water to a boil in a stockpot. Drop the penne into the boiling water and parboil for 5 minutes. Drain well.

While pasta is boiling combine all the ingredients, except the penne and butter, in a large mixing bowl. Mix well. After the penne is drained, add it to the ingredients in the mixing bowl, tossing to combine.

Pour mixture into shallow baking dish, put butter slices on top and bake uncovered for 10-15 minutes, or until bubbly and brown on top.

6 fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 pound penne pasta
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter

Bring 5 quarts of salted water to a boil in a stockpot. Drop the penne into the boiling water and parboil for 5 minutes. Drain well.

While pasta is boiling combine all the ingredients, except the penne and butter, in a large mixing bowl. Mix well. After the penne is drained, add it to the ingredients in the mixing bowl, tossing to combine.

Pour mixture into shallow baking dish, put butter slices on top and bake uncovered for 10-15 minutes, or until bubbly and brown on top.

While heating the water for the boil, place 1 TBSP unsalted Land-O-Lakes butter in a skillet, once melted add 1 tsp fresh crushed garlic. Allow to slightly brown, mix in part of the crushed tomatoes as well as the basil. Bring to a slight simmer. Add shrimp, allow to simmer for 2 minutes. By now you should have drained off your pasta. Add the remaining tomatoes cheese and cream to the mixing bowl as stated above. Add penne and the shrimp mixture at the same time, mix together. Follow the final step as stated. Should come out alright.

Half way to the bake the last 10 minutes add the shrimp, it will turn pink and look like the letter C, means cooked, if its letter O, its overcooked

Add the raw, frozen shrimp to the mixture before you bake it.
It should thaw then cook just right in 15 minutes.
