The best way to get hard boiled eggs that are easy to peel is to put the eggs in a pot cold. Add cold water to cover the eggs (they will float.) Place them on the stove with a medium high heat. Once the water starts to boil set the timer for 7 minutes.
When the timer goes off immediately run cold water over the eggs until they have cooled enough to touch. Place them in the refrigerator until they are well chilled. Now when you go to use them, the shells will come off easily.

boil it hard.....

in a pot of boiling water

Fry it

get the water to a roiling boil, put the eggs in and cover with a lid, take off the heat and let set for 10 minutes. run cold water over them before you peel.

Buy a timer, a must for the right taste, boil water in a small pan with water over the egg for no more than 7 minutes.

Put eggs in a pot and cover with water. Put on the stove and when the water begins to boil start timing them. I would keep them in the boiling water for 5 minutes. When they are done put the egg under cold water and take the back of your spoon and crack the shell, it should peel easy. Good luck.

Submerge the egg in a pot of cold water. Once the water starts boiling, keep the egg in a slow rolling boil (not too rough of a boil or you'll crack the egg!) for 3 minutes. Let it cool to room temperature (in the frig for faster cool down) and enjoy!

Hot Water.

Place egg in cold water. When water reach boiling point, put timer on 7 minutes. After 7 minutes throw away the hot water and cover with cold water. Peal egg shell immediately to avoid a blue egg yoke.

After reading eveyone elses "recommendations" I realized that it will depend on your own personal preferences as to a "hard" boiled egg or a "soft" boiled egg. The less time, the softer it will be. For an actual 'hard' egg, make sure your water is at a boil before putting the eggs in, then make sure to keep it at a boil for 10-15 minutes. I don't put a cover on it, but I do put the pot and everything in the sink when done, and run cold water on them. The cold water stops the cooking and will make them easier to hold (cools off) when peeling. My best advise...experiment and find out what works for you, not works for everyone else.

After consulting many sources including the stars , I have to concur with Poolman4, use "HOT" water. I tried with cold but it didn't work. Please advise if you need info on how to boil water. Also make sure there is an adult present when you attempt this culinary feat.

Cover eggs (from 6 to 12 eggs) with cold water, put lid on pot. Let it come to rolling boil, let boil hard for about ten minutes. Leaving the lid closed set off burner. Let set at least fifteen minutes. Should be done but not rubbery.

Boil the eggs for about 10 to 12 minutes. The reason that eggs are sometimes hard to peel is due to the freshness of the egg. The fresher the egg the harder it is to peel.Air gets into the egg between the white and the shell as it sits and that is the reason that makes it easier to peel.
