i aways cook a Christmas breakfast, it is a tradition

Homemade Cinnamon Rolls with Hot Chocolate. Small so we can eat the really good meal around 2pm.

Our Christmas breakfast is a tradition in our home! All four kids help us make pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, etc,...the whole works! We usually have a ton of leftovers and a big o' mess. But its our tradition, and we love it! Plus, it gives our family time to eat together and be alone together for one special meal. Christmas Eve is spent at a family members house, and Christmas Day my older children go to their dads.

December 23 through December 26, ALL of our help gets a vacation.

So, my mom and I do all the cooking.

Every December 24, we have a HUGE breakfast.

My mom and I wake up at 6AM to make it.

We have ham, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, hash browns, orange juice, coffee, milk, apple juice, and fruit.

On December 25, my mom and I get up at 6 and make breakfast. We make home-made cinnamon rolls, hot chocolate, and coffee. Then on the stove, we reheat all the left overs from December 24TH's breakfast. We wake the rest of the family up (usually around 6:45) when we are done cooking. We all eat breakfast and then open presents.

We are a fairly untraditional family, but do have a special breakfast on Christmas Day. My mom makes whatever we want, but usually we have potato pancakes, French toast, Breakfast strata (casserole w/ eggs, sausage, cheese, etc.), bacon, biscuits and gravy, apple oven pancake, coffee cake, fresh fruit, Mimosas and Coffee. Then we go to the Chinese restaurant for dinner.
