I made choc chip cookies last night and the first time i bit into them chunks of brown sugar came in the way?!

Question: whioch made me feel they came out crunchy but the next time i ate it such that i carefully avoided biting into sugar that came in the way concentrated on the non sugar part which felt kindof chewy...my question is will it turn out to be ok the next time if i liquidise the brown sugar(keeping it on stove over low heat) and then using it in the same recipe??

It would change the texture of the cookies. Try warming the brown sugar in the microwave to make it softer.

it will change the texture of the cookie if you liquidise sugar it turns into a caramel base. and so sooner or later it'll turn really hard. and it's be hard to mix.
probably the reason you had brown sugar in your bite was probably because either there was a big chuck of brown sugar that has been harden orrrr. it wasn't mixed good enough.
when you mix sugars with wet ingredients. use a mixer.
if you use your hands or wooden spoons.you won't know if you got all the chucks.
the mixer will.

Melt the butter either in the microwave or on the stove and then disolve the brown sugar and the regular sugar in that by letting it sit for a while. Make the the butter isn't too hot though! It always has worked for me! Also....before you bake the cookies let the dough sit in the freezer or the refrigorator til it gets really chilled and always use a cold pan. Makes the best cookies ever :)

Make sure that the butter or shortening is soft and at room temperature and beat it enough to form stiff peaks.

Sounds like some of the sugar is columping together and not being completely incorporated into the batter. use a sifter if necessary.

when you make cookies you shld really have melted your brown sugar before adding in the other ingredients
