I woudn't recomend any substitutions. Oil is NOT an egg substitue.

No. Eggs act as a binder and as a leavener.
Use...
2 tbsp corn starch = 1 egg
2 tbsp arrowroot flour = 1 egg
2 tbsp potato starch = 1 egg
1 heaping tbsp soy powder + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg
1 banana = 1 egg in cakes.
1 tbsp ground flaxseed mixed + 1 tbsp water, mixed = 1 egg

Flax and bananas work best. Add a tiny bit of extra leavener (baking powder or soda depending on the type of cake) to raise the cake properly.

There are egg replacements....though I don't think that helps you right now. If you happen to have flax seeds on hand, a lot of vegans use them as an egg substitute, you can use those. The ratio is 1 unit flax seeds to 4 units water. 1/4 of a cup of that is equal to one egg.

The reason you can't use oil is because eggs act as a binder in recipes - holding things together. Oil doesn't do that...the cake wouldn't turn out right =(.

PS - you could ask your neighbors!

1/3 cup of applesauce for every egg.
