Question: its this really good dish made with yams and a pecan topping i think but i need the recipe for Christmas dinner.MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

YAM CRUNCH

3 c. yams, boiled, mashed
1 stick butter
1/2 c. sweet milk
1 c. white sugar
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all together while yams are hot. Pour into 8x14 inch casserole dish.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. flour
1 c. light brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 c. chopped pecans

Mix well and cover yam mixture. Cook 30 minutes at 325 degrees. If topping browns too fast, cut temperature to 300 degrees.

LOUISIANA YAM PECAN CRUNCH CASSEROLE

8 med. fresh yams, baked or substitute canned yams
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. apricot juice
1 tsp. nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
1 c. crushed corn flakes
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Mash yams and combine butter, apricot juice, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Blend well. Put into a well-buttered, 3-quart casserole. Sprinkle top with flakes and nuts. Dot with butter and bake in a 350 degree oven for 40 minutes. Serves 10.
If canned yams are used, substitute half of the apricot juice with tasty yam liquid.
