Why does merangue seperate on my lemon meringue pie?!
Answers: When I make lemon meringue pie it comes out of the oven beautiful but in a few hours the meringue has separated and it is a mess. What causes this and how can it be prevented?

the thing about meringue is to always make sure it is touching the pie crust all around the pie. otherwise when the eggs in the meringue cook they will shrink and your meringue and lemon custard will seperate
