2 men have told me they wanted to divorce therir wives and marry me just for this sauce. I'm sure they were kidding. The spaghetti is easy, just follow the box instructions.

Dean’s Spaghetti Sauce

2 - 28 ounce cans tomato puree
2 - 18 ounce cans tomato paste
32 ounces water (approximately, add more or less to your thickness preference)
2 tbls minced garlic
2-3 bay leaves
1 tbls dried basil
1 tbls dried parsley
1 tbls dried oregano
? tsp dried thyme
? tsp dried sage

Mix all ingredients in a 5 quart Dutch oven; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, cover and simmer over very low heat several hours for flavors to meld, stirring occasionally. Do not let it boil too rapidly. Since tomato products seem to vary in sweetness, a couple teaspoons of sugar can be added if a little extra sweetness is desired.

u buy it

1 large can tomato puree or sauce
1 can stewed chopped tomatoes, drained
1 small can tomato paste
1 onion, well-chopped
2 garlic cloves, peeled, crushed and finely chopped
2 stalks celery, well-chopped
Italian seasoning mix, S& P to taste
2 Tablespoons sugar

Serves 3-4.

Saute' onion and celery two minutes in a bit of oil in the pot. add tomato products and rest of ingredients, stirring well. Taste occasionally as flavor will develop. Simmer for a half hour.

Bless you for coming to the aid of that family! I am sure they will enjoy this recipe.

buy the spaghetti and the tomato sauce is simple:

tin of chopped tomatoes, or some tomatoes cut roughly with tomato juice
tomato puree
garlic
salt and pepper

chuck it all in a pan and add a little water if it seems too thick. leave to simmer for a little while to allow it to thicken and thats it

you buy the sauce. buy the noodles.
