What's your favorite type of dressing- bread or cornbread? anyone ever had dressing that is half & half?!
Answers: i am making a recipe that is half cornbread and half bread crumbs tomorrow which i've never made before. i hope it turns out good. has anyone had this before? did you like it?
OK,I'm gonna let you in on The Taffolla Family's Dressing! You can use all cornbread or half and half,or seasoned dressing,it really doesn't make a big difference, except I wouldn't use bread crumbs, use cubed, toasted bread instead. Now for the important stuff! To the dressing add celery, bell pepper, chopped green apples and green onion that have been sauted in butter.Add browned sage sausage, some nuts and raisins,1 raw egg per box of dressing, broth made from the giblets and neck of turkey and you have the best dressing you'll ever taste!Only add enought broth to make the dressing moist, and don't over stir it,or else it will be mushy.Bake covered till hot throughout, then remove cover and brown slightly.Enjoy!
both is good. Best if not over baked to avoid dryness. Best when mixture is loose-type cake batter consistency before baking; then check after 30 minutes.
The Taffolla Family's Dressing...Yup you know what your doing!!!!
I love the 2 mixed together. It's my favorite way of making dressing.I just can't do the raisins or nuts...but it's still good that way.
