I have heard that you can use cherry coke in recipes,is this true?!
Answers: I love the stuff but i been told you can use it with meat and that,i like a nice marinade with meat and giving things flavour with unusual ingredients.
Yes, you can! I works wonderfully in some recipes. So does regular coke.
Here are some recipes from the Coca-cola website.
Cherry coke would add a little more sweetness, and a very very slightly increased cherry taste to things that have cherry ingredients already.

I like the suggestion that tordude09 had for the ribs. I'll have to try that sometimes.
Sounds very interesting - i'd be too afraid to try it - a cherry flavor w/ meat doesn't sound too good?
LOL go ahead and try it :D
yes, i have boiled spare ribs in cherry coke for about an hour then i put them on the bbq, they where very good.
Yes, it's true! Substitute Cherry Coke for the water in your chocolate cake recipes and it will be moist and more chocolate-y!
Also great for marinating meats, and even used it before for the liquid when making pot roast in a crock pot. It's delicious! Any type of beef works great with colas. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed! The meat doesn't taste like cherries, but if you're worried, just use regular Coke.
yes, I have a cookbook with several recipes that you can put in a can of soda, just DON'T use any DIET soda's those don't work at all.
Coca Cola , Dr Pepper, Pepsi, Big Red, Sprite
something in the acid in them help marinate the meat. I make a pot roast in my crock put with a coca cola every now and then and my family loves it.
Some cake recipes call for different types of soda and down south some people pour coke on ham when they cook it for moisture and flavor. Peace.
it might be good as a baste for ham....and it also might be good in coca cola cake for a bit of a different taste. I, myself do not care for cherry Coke. Just Coca Cola classic. Give me that every time!
I have seen recipes using cherry coke for cakes and for a ham glaze.
I always put some soda in my beef marinade- gives it just the amount of sweetness without watering it down too much. Cherry coke would be great... try this weird combo:
1/2 cup cherry coke
1 shot southern comfort
1 tbs worstershire sauce
1/2 cup BBQ or A1 sauce
season salt to taste
mix up and place in a large zip lock with your steak, marinate overnight and grill.
