I did the low carb diet and lost 60 lbs in 3 months. I think you could lose as much as 20lbs with exercise in one month. If you want to last on this diet though make sure you vary the food otherwise you will crack and go off the diet. I used the Atkins book and there were alot of good recipes. I ate alot of chicken ceasar salad ( no croutons).

male or female?

Think about eating small meals five times a day... and eliminate "white" foods from your diet such as potatoes . That would be all dairy and all products made with white flour..breads, pasta, etc. Depending on your metabolism, you could lose about two - three pounds a week. Eventually, you'll want to re-introduce these foods but in moderation. Dairy, for example, is an excellent source of calcium. But when you eat small meals every four -five hours, your body never goes into hunger mode... and that will keep you from over eating or reaching for foods that are not good for you ( chips, etc). Drink lots of water. Many times when we feel hungry, we really just need water. Im 57 and weigh 126. This is my diet.

If you eat that much chicken, chickens muscles are prone to digest lesser thats why chicken meat gives you long energy, BUT, if you cant work out the chicken out, your going to gain pounds than lose it. You need atleast a full veggie meal like lunch.
