Pork Loin Chops - What is your favorite way to prepare?!
Answers: My husband works for a hog farm and that equals freezer full of pork...what are some recipes I can make with pork loin chops? We already had them fried with mashed potatoes, corn and gravy, oh how wonderful it was!! But now I am looking for some other ways to fix them. All suggestions are welcome. Thank you so much!
My favorite is breading them with crushed cornflakes.Dredge them in flour, then egg wash, then crushed cornflakes.Fry in butter and oil mixture until golden brown.Finish in oven at a 325 - 350 for about an hour.
I also like to butterfly them and stuff with your favorite dressing.Brown in pan and finish in oven with a little gravy.
They turnout nice in the crockpot also.

I would have to download "Night of the Living Dead" or "Re-animator" to get into your present state of Holiday cheer.ll
Hmmmmm.
I like the big thick ones, cooked in the skillet without flour, just salt and pepper and cook slowly with canola oil.It is much healthier than veg, oil.Cook it slowly with onions ,mushrooms, and green peppers.Yummy!Canola oil doesn't brown as fast as veg either.
1 inch high pan , Garlic Butter smeared on base , cook high heat under Grill for 2 mins. , turn and spread Mint paste on second side , cook for 3 mins. and turn once more for 1 min....add slices of lemon or lime.....serve with boiled , skin-on potatoes and any other recipe dish you can make while using your brain to compliment the other flavours and serve and Enjoy!
Brown 4 chops in your favorite fat and remove from pan.
Slice up a large yellow onion into rings and cook in same pan.
Cook until just turning brown.
Add 2 cans diced tomatoes and 2 small cans tomato sauce.
Add 2 lemons, seeds removed and sliced into rounds.
Place Pork Loin Chops back in pan and cook over medium to low heat for about 30 min. enjoy!...:)
i put them in a baking dish with garlic , potatoes (skin on), onions and bake at 425 for 1hr and 30 mins i also add a little worchestershire sauce to everything ..its delicious
We all love pork, in our house. One way that I make them, especially for my mother (she is 88 yrs old) and is perhaps her own creation from many years ago. I saute the chops and set them aside and then in a casserole dish suitable for the oven I put the chops in and add two large sliced onions on top and cover everything with tinned tomatoes sliced, diced, whatever type I have, crumb about a dozen saltine crackers over the top. Season with a little salt & pepper and bake in a slow oven 325F for about an hour - no lid on. She likes simple boiled buttered potatoes and green beans along with this meal and crusty bread or rolls.
I brown them just for a minute or so each side (with salt, pepper, garlic powder), then remove to a covered casserole dish. Pour pork gravy over them and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. The McKormicks gravy packets are perfect for this, and they are fat free.
No reason not to do the mashed potato/gravy/corn thing. That's what I'm doing tomorrow night.
PORK CHOP PARMESAN
4 loin pork chops
3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
4 peeled and sliced potatoes
Place sliced potatoes in bottom of baking dish. Add water to bottom of pan, partially covering potatoes. Salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese over the potatoes. Remove excess fat from pork chops and place pork chops on top of potatoes. Sprinkle 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese over pork chops. Bake in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes. Turn pork chops over; add remaining cheese and bake until pork chops are golden brown. Keep potatoes partially covered with water while cooking. Do not salt pork chops.
I make this all the time...
Apple, nut & Maplesyrup pork chops.
Cook the pork chops in a fring pan with just alittle oil until done.
In a seperate pot, melt 1tbs of butter and add a chopped up apple (becareful, apples burn easily), cook until tender (about 4 minutes) then add chopped walnuts (about 1/4 cup), cook for another 3-4 minutes and then add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of maple syrup, cook for another 1 (until warm) then top the pork chops.
I don't have the exact measurement, I got the recipe on the box of wild rice, it is delicous. Also taste good with string beans.
This is one of my favorites, not an every day dinner but something special when called for:
Pork with Apples, Calvados and Apple Cider
Ingredients
1 pound pork tenderloin, trimmed, cut into 1-inch-thick slices
5 tablespoons butter
4 medium Golden Delicious apples (about 1 1/2 pounds); peeled, cored,
sliced 1/3 inch thick
1 teaspoon sugar
2 large shallots, chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried
1/4 cup Calvados or other apple brandy
1 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup apple cider
Preparation
Place pork slices between plastic wrap. Using mallet, pound pork slices to 1/4-inch thickness. (Can be prepared 4 hours ahead. Cover tightly and refrigerate.)
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add apples and sugar to skillet and sauté until golden brown, about 6 minutes. Set aside.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in another heavy large skillet over high heat. Season pork with salt and pepper. Add pork to skillet and sauté until just cooked through, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to plate; keep warm.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in same skillet over medium heat. Add shallots and thyme and sauté 2 minutes. Add Calvados and boil until reduced to glaze, scraping up any browned bits. Stir in cream and cider; boil until mixture thickens to sauce consistency, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Reheat apples, if necessary. Arrange a few pork slices on each plate. Spoon sauce over. Top generously with sautéed apple slices and serve.
I marinate them in Italian dressing for about 1 hour then roll in Italian style bread crumbs that have Parmesan and Romano cheeses mixed in - bake at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending upon how thick/big they are. Serve with smashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce and maybe some gravy. It is easy, fast and very tasty. I also like them browned and then simmered in BBQ sauce until done.
put chops in baking pan, and pour 2 cans *undiluted* Campbell's chicken gumbo soup on top, and bake.
Will you guys adopt me? LOL. I love pork.
Anyway, I don't know it off the top of my head, but Mr Food has a recipe that I just love, it is called "Dilled Pork Cutlets", the recipe calls for cutlets, but I found that it is just as good with thicker chops, sear first and then cook on low heat. On a side note, you might try cranberry onion pork. Take a can of whole cranberries and a pkg of lipton onion soup mix, mix them together, and rub all over your pig. Best for roasts in the oven or the grill.
Enjoy
