Today is day 2 coming off of a 5 day fast. I'm making chicken broth tonight, but what veggies can go with it?!

Question: I'm thinking carrots, okra, what else would be gentle? Cook some beans also?

You could add a little chopped up spinach,,,or some other greens,,,the green veggies plus a little potato or tomato and carrots,,okra....would serve the purpose...we are talking small pieces here,,,and avoid beans and the cabbage family like brocc,,caulf,,,bruss sprts......you don't want cramps and don't eat too much at once or you will wear a path to the bathroom, the first food after a fast can go right through you....I mean right through you...be near a bathroom......take it easy....better to eat small meals for a few days than big ones....say a cup at a time....you could have a cracker or two also with your soup.

Make something soft and light. Try cooked carrots, or any other veggie you like. You could add them to the broth and make a soup.

Carrots for sure. But you need something green. Try some spinach or some bean sprouts. You need the iron.

Cabbage, carrots

Celery, carrots and onions diced up are good. Or dice up a peeled potatoe and maybe a little parsley. Any combination of these are good. You could also just add some rice. Bon Apetite!
