Please give me a recipe for Italian Spaghetti Sauce?!
2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. onion, finely chopped (about
1/2 c.)
1 green pepper, finely chopped
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 (7-1/2 oz.) can pitted ripe olives, drained & sliced
2 (1-1/2 oz.) envelope Italian style spaghetti sauce mix*
3 c. water
1 tbsp. sugar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 bay leaf, crumbled
*Use mix with mushrooms.
Cook and stir ground beef, onion and green pepper until meat is brown and onion is tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover, simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring sauce occasionally.

1 lb Italian sausage
1 onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
28 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained
6 ounces tomato paste
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Brown Italian sausage, onion and garlic; drain.
Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil.
Reduce heat and let simmer for 1 hour; serve over you favorite pasta.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs
Meatball
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
Sauce
3/4 cup chopped onion
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup olive oil
2 (28 ounce) cans whole peeled tomatoes
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 bay leaf
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
3/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, parsley, Parmesan, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, garlic powder and beaten egg. Mix well and form into 12 balls. Store, covered, in refrigerator until needed.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, saute onion and garlic in olive oil until onion is translucent. Stir in tomatoes, salt, sugar and bay leaf. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 90 minutes. Stir in tomato paste, basil, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and meatballs and simmer 30 minutes more.
