How long will chicken stay good for in the freezer?!

Question: At least 6 months. Just make sure it's in an airtight bag.

Answers: At least 6 months. Just make sure it's in an airtight bag.

I've been told a year but that's IF it's been packed right. Vacuum packed is best, tightly wrapped and as airtight sealed is better.

It won't go bad but will eventually dry out and taste horrible. Drying out is also called "freezer burn" too.

till it looks dry (for my freezer thats three months but its a piece of crap-ola)

I keep mine 3-6 month with no problem. I have found it to be easier to cook the chicken and the freeze. Makes it simple when I am ready to cook my meal.

2 weeks

I agree with halca. Be sure you use a freezer type plastic bag, better yet, what I do is put the chicken pieces in a sandwich bag, squeeze the air out, zip it shut, then put several bags into a gallon size ziploc bag and squeeze the air out of that, and place it in the freezer. You can just take out small quantities for a meal that way.
