Crock Pot Oatmeal??!


Question: I was reading another question and someone responded with "crock pot oatmeal"...and this sounds really good!

Does anyone have a recipe that works because it seems alot of people have problems with it....

Here are 2 that I like. They are easy. Hope you enjoy!!!


Slow Cooker Oatmeal

INGREDIENTS
2 cups oats
6 cups water
1 cup raisins
3 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 pinches salt
2 cups half-and-half cream
1/2 cup brown sugar, or to taste



DIRECTIONS
Just before going to bed, combine the oats, raisins, cinnamon and water in a slow cooker. Set on Low, cover, and let cook overnight. In the morning, stir in the salt and half-and-half. Scoop into bowls, and sprinkle brown sugar over the top.



Slow Cooker Oatmeal

INGREDIENTS
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
4 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored, and sliced 1/4 inch thick
1-1/2 cups dried cranberries
1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
4 cups regular rolled oats
4 cups water
2 cups apple juice
2 cups cranberry juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups candied walnuts (optional)



DIRECTIONS
Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a bowl. Add the apples and cranberries, tossing to coat evenly with the sugar mixture. Pour into a slow cooker. Top with butter pieces.
Mix the oatmeal together with the water, apple juice, cranberry juice, and salt in a bowl, and pour over the apple mixture in the slow cooker. Do not stir. Cover, and cook on Low for 8 hours.
Stir before serving. Spoon into bowls and top with candied walnuts, if desired.

2 cups rolled oats, 6 cups warm water, a pinch of salt, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup cream, cinnamon to taste, 2 apples, 1/2 cup raisins. Boil in a pot and let simmer fifteen minutes. Serve with butter and brown sugar.

do you know when a leg is being pulled? oatmeal doesn't take long enough to make to warrant a crock pot type recipe.
