Candy Sushi

1 tablespoon butter, cut into pieces
12 regular marshmallows
2 cups puffed rice cereal (recommended: Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal)
4 fruit roll-ups (pressed dried fruit rounds, 8 inches) any brand, any flavor
8 strips licorice candy (recommended: Twizzler's brand), any flavor – pieces should be 6 to 7 inches long, trim to match width of roll-ups

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over low heat and add marshmallows. Stir marshmallows until completely melted. Remove mixture from heat and add cereal. Stir to coat cereal evenly in melted marshmallows.

Roll out the fruit roll-ups. Place 1/4 of the coated cereal onto each fruit roll up and spread and gather toward 1 side of roll up. Place 2 licorice twists onto the center of the spread out cereal mix. Wrap and roll the candy and fruit, maneuvering the licorice to the center of the roll, so that the finished product resembles a sushi roll. Repeat with remaining rolls.

Place a sharp knife into a bowl of very warm water. Cut candy sushi with warm knife and arrange on a plate then serve.

I also put peanut butter in the middle of some of them instead of the licorice, they were very tasty!

Enjoy!

I really can't go past this recipe. In this day and age, some might think that it actually is innovative - but it shouldn't be, it should be the primary meal on everybody's plate. Enjoy!

Beer can chicken is also pretty bizarre. In fact, anything made with beer sounds pretty bizarre to me. Beer bread and beer pizza crust come to mind. I have also seen recipes for ice cream made from snow which actually sounds kind of good, I mean who that had snow didn't eat it as a kid?

Pigs in a blanket are also kind of creative when you think about it. And something else that is really really really good?

Some one brought some tasty fudge to our Christmas luncheon, and she had everyone guess what was in it. No one did. It ended up being made with Velveeta cheese. I just looked up a recipe... here it is:

Easy fudge made with cheese.
INGREDIENTS:

* 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
* 8 ounces pasteurized process cheese, Velveeta, cubed
* 1 1/2 pounds confectioners' sugar, about 5 cups unsifted
* 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
* 1/2 cup non-fat dry milk
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 2 cups coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts

PREPARATION:
In a large saucepan over medium heat butter and cheese cubes together, stirring frequently; remove from heat. Sift together confectioners' sugar and cocoa; add to cheese, mixing well. Stir in non-fat dry milk, vanilla and nuts. Turn into a 9x9x2-inch pan; chill until firm and cut into squares. Makes about 3 pounds of Velveeta Fudge.
