Question: I would use a juicer. If you do not have one, use a food processor and then strain through a cloth or strainer to get the juice. P.S wear goggles! :)

Not a stupid question.
Just peel, and chop a little, place in food blender, then run through a strainer.
We use onion juice for many things, and fresh is best.
