hmmm...how about chicken

try using beef. that'll be way different!

spam.........yum

fire roasted green chilis or fire roasted red peppers...

My mom makes a really good casserole that has chicken (or turkey) pieces, broccoli, cream of chicken soup, curry powder. It is really good!

add something with a little spice. like peppers or something like that.

roasted red peppers, black olives, onions, sun dried tomatoes, cilantro, and red pepper cream sauce.

Shrimp and broccoli

broccolie,cheese , bread crumbs , breaded chicken .

dont laugh--tortilla chips--plain ones..its great..

it would help if we knew what you normally put in yours, so we would know what not to suggest.

shredded cheddar and spicy chipotle pepper powder.

Pam

Email the chicken casserole recipe to me if you get time.

Love and blessings Don

Vegetables and turn it into a pot pie? Or add brocoli, pasta or rice. Try using stuffing instead of noodles or rice> Hope this works for you.

Asparagus would be nice...hehe

or potatoes, nothing beats potatoes. =]

Crush some potato chips and put them on top

Maybe you can add cheese. Or make it with rice or pasta.

Add anything.

lots of cheese, some corn, and broccoli. yum

How about jalapenos? Spicy flavors go great with chicken casserole.

Pasta, corn, peas, brocolli etc... anything that has a neutral flavour that wont take over the flavour of the pre-existing ingredients.
Pity you didnt leave a recipe of what ingredients you already use, but I love this recipe

Add some corn or green beans.

Pecans, walnuts, chopped up vegetables, bread crumbs, a pinch of hot sauce, or nutmeg, or cumin. Mushrooms, chopped apple bits, instant rice. Can I have some?

try going vegetarian.
then all that meat crap wont sit there rotting in your colon until you have a heart attack.
&youll be way way healthier, and its also a good way to lose wieght if your into that kinda stuff.

Asparagus, mushrooms.
Or some toasted pecans, pine nuts, nutty surprise

When I have those days, I open my refrigerator and experiment. Many many wonderful cassaroles, maybe
one not so great from my science projects.

Maybe instead of adding to the cassarole, try just topping the cassarole with crushed stove top stuffing & 2 teaspoons melted butter. Or top with cheese, top with chili sauce or salsa, depends on whatever else in the receipe.

Have fun experimenting.

i agree with ditzi,

uhh broccoli, hot pepper cheese, cream of mushroom with garlic soup, rice, or penne, perhaps turn it into a mac n chicken casserole with some diced tomatoes very good

I don't remember the exact recipe, but it was delicious.
I added applesauce and uncooked rice and chicken broth and chicken pieces were pre-cooked and browned with a large chopped Spanish onion in a non- stick- fry pan. After browning place the chicken into greased oven dish. Mix two cups of uncooked rice with one cup chicken soup and one can applesauce. Mix the browned onions into rice mixture. Season with a little garlic powder, Pour over chicken in casserole dish. Cover with foil and bake in the oven at 350 degrees F. untill the rice is soft.and liquid has been absorbed.

Here 's a couple ideas , leave out the tomato soup for both .

***Use pears &/or apples +winter squash (buttercup, butternut, or hubbard ; acorn would be my 4th choice) + hot peppers
Have made a soup like that, but with turkey, not chicken.
(Another possibility, - do the above with shrimp & scallops , instead of chicken)
Have made a soup like that, but with turkey, not chicken.

*** Use cheddar/jalapeno soup instead of tomato.

Try tossing in some rice or pasta?

and i would like the recipe please!

Sliced or diced water chestnuts add a nice crunch to a chicken casserole. Do you use either noodles or elbow macaroni in it? Cheese over the top for the last 5 or so minutes is also nice.
