    yes you are right if you let it get to you, you are playing the game on their terms not your.
    And in answer to your question.. rosemary ( herb) is a common seasoning for leg of lamb as is garlic, black pepper and salt

    Rosemary lots of sprigs on top and 1 sprig of thyme with cracked black pepper.

    Rosemary and Oregano. Crush the Rosemary a bit with your hands to let the aromatic oil out to permeate the meat. Also lemon juice for basting.
