My sons had a verbal fight with another boy in his class and his parents are coming over...?!
im a very keen cook, and i usually make things when we have visitors, but i dont know if it would be apporpriate seeing as our sons got in a fight together (a verbal fight)
And if i were to cook, what should i make?
any suggestions?
Answers: Should i bake or cook something?

I think some sort of finger food would be appropriate and would serve as a ice-breaker while giving everyone something to do.
Cookies would do, depending on the time of day.
This is easy, but looks very pretty and complicated:
Dill Dip Bread:
2/3 c. mayonnaise
2/3 c. sour cream
1 tbsp minced green onion
1 tsp dried dill weed
1 tbsp minced parsley
few drops Tabasco
mix all ingredients together. Chill
Then, get 2 whole, round loaves of pumpernickel bread. Hollow one out, saving the insides.
Tear the insides, and the second loaf into bite size pieces.
Fill the hollowed-out loaf with the dip and arrange the pieces of bread around it. You dip the bread in the dip and eat.
Dont make anything, if i were you, i would be more worried about what the other boys parents were going to say!

Well I guess they are comming to your house for a talk, so you don't need to do anything big. Just serve them some drinks and some store-bought cookies, or anything you have on hand that you don't really mind letting them eat.
Something almost everybody would like, such as,Spagatii and Meat balls with garlic bread or something like a pot pie... And something hot for desert... I hope I helped...
id been wonder if you was going to get your butt kick... and why cook for someone you dont know they not coming to eat they coming to find out why your kid was messing with theirs
I would just turn on the coffee pot and have some scones, biscotti or cookies out. Nothing too lavish as you don;t want to distract them from the matter but maybe you all can go away as friends.
I think it is all about the boys and how to solve their problems...........why do you even think about cooking.....concentrate on your child problems....yeeeh.
A light snack would be appropriate with soda or lemonade. Stay away from alcohol. Aim at making them them feel comfortable and letting them know you want to do the right thing.
I think serving them something would be a lovely idea, and it might make the visit less awkward. Perhaps an appetizer of some kind, like an antipasto tray or hot dip in a bread bowl. Nothing too elaborate, but enough to show that you thought ahead about the meeting.
Prepare some coffee, make some iced tea, and bake up a coffeecake.
dont cook anything just ask if they would like something to drink . why are they coming to your house ? and you are not going to their house .
