Does anyone know how to make strawberry butter-cream frosting ?Thanks?!

Question: Strawberry Buttercream

Notes:

To make this recipe less sweet, you can add up to another 1/2 cup of Crisco. Please make the recipe one time before you make the change so that you can make a knowledgeable, taste decision.

I don't strain the strawberry juice to take out the littlest strawberry "hairs" and seeds. I personally like to see the imperfections in the icing because that says "homemade and real". Please go ahead and strain the juice if you wish.

Ingredients:
Defrost a package of frozen strawberries. Use the juice only (about 1/2 cup)*
8 ounces of butter (2 cubes), room temperature
1 1/2 cups Crisco (10 ounces)
2 pounds of powdered sugar

*Optional - 1/2 teaspoon Strawberry Extract (McCormick or Watkins makes an imitation extract). For a richer flavor add up to a total of 1 teaspoon of the Strawberry extract. The strength of the flavor is up to you.
In a mixer, blend the butter and the Crisco together until soft and well combined.
Add the powdered sugar, strawberry juice, and the extract to make the soft buttercream.

make ur usual butter frosting,
add some strawberry extract/
and to class it up put a little red or pink food coloring.

My sister makes the best vanilla buttercream frosting, so I'd say just substitute strawberry flavor for the vanilla:

A bag of powdered sugar
A stick of butter at room temp
A can of evaporated milk
Strawberry Extract

Add the powdered sugar to the butter a cup at a time and beat thoroughly after each addition. Once you get a pretty thick frosting going, begin to add the evaporated milk a tablespoon at a time until you get a consistency that you like. Add a teaspoon of your strawberry extract, and there you have it.

The evaporated milk gives this frosting the BEST flavor! :)

You take the basic butter cream frosting recipe and add drained strawberries. Make sure the berries are drained well otherwise the frosting will come out like a glaze. Try this site:

i made some of this last week for christmas. I used the already made frosting at room temp. Put it in a mixing bowl. I took some strawberry perserves( use like a cup more if you want more) and boiled them. I stuck a hand blender in for a few seconds to break up the big strawberries, and poured it into the frosting. i it mixed with spatula, and let it cool. I even added some cream cheese for a little twist. I was sooo good.
