Here you go. It gives you instructions to get it right every time.

If they boil hard for 7 minutes, they are done, or if the shell starts to crack first.

stick eggs into a pot

cover with COLD water

bring to good rolling boil (depends on how high you put fire)

when it's boiled for about 3 minutes

turn off burner, but leave pan on hot burner

let sit in pot on stove til eggs are just warm to the touch

then they are done, that's how i do mine and they're boiled good everytime

I fill my pot with warm water, just enough to cover the eggs. Bring to a rolling boil. Put the lid on the pot, turn the heat off and cook for about 26 minutes. Rinse the eggs in Cold water to stop the cooking. Eat hot, or refrigerate and eat cold.

Rachael Ray did some by bringing cold eggs in cold water to a rolling boil and then putting the lid on and setting aside. I let mine set at least 30 minutes, then cover with cold running water in the sink, let set til the eggs are cold and they came out perfect. Also use older eggs, todays eggs are too fresh, they won't peel right. I told my grand daughter this because she couldn't get her eggs right to make deviled eggs, and yesterday she told me it worked perfectly.

It usually doesn't take me but about 7-10 minutes...just cover the eggs in water completely, though.

I boil my eggs for 15 minutes and then run cool water over them. . . .
