How to cook a whole pork loin?!
Answers: I'm going to cook a pork loin tomorrow and this is my first time cooking it.So tell me how please.
Rub it down w/ a blend of salt, pepper, powdered ginger, garlic powder, and a bit of onion powder. Coat all sides.
Place in roasting pan in 400oF oven for about 40-45 min. Reduce heat to 325o and cook for another hour or so, or until the internal temp is 155oF. Let rest on counter, covered in foil, for 15-20 min before slicing for juiciest results.
INGREDIENTS
3 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
1 tablespoon dried rosemary (Optional
salt and pepper to taste
2 pounds boneless pork loin roast
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup white wine(optional)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Crush garlic with rosemary, salt and pepper, making a paste. Pierce meat with a sharp knife in several places and press the garlic paste into the openings. Rub the meat with the remaining garlic mixture and olive oil.
Place pork loin into oven for 2 hours, turning and basting with pan liquids. After 2 hours remove roast to a platter. Heat the wine in the pan and stir to loosen browned bits of food on the bottom. Serve with pan juices.

I LOVE my slow-cooker!!
It is a very lean meat and it will be dry if you over cook it.
cook til it reaches 170 at the thickest part...pull from the oven at 160 and let it set it will continue cooking.check after 30 mins and see where you at......
Marinating overnight always adds a lot of flavor.....Italian dressing or Teriyaki depending on taste....dry rubs dont work very well with this type of meat because the cooking time is so short....Good luck
